We are thrilled to announce that our very own Framboise has claimed gold at the prestigious World Beer Cup! This recognition is not just a win for Central City Brewery, but a testament to the dedication, passion, and meticulous craftsmanship of our entire team.

A Taste of Gold: Framboise

As we bask in the golden glow of our victory, let’s dive into the remarkable journey of Framboise. This Raspberry Sour Belgian Fruit Beer is a labour of love, a testament to our commitment to the art of brewing. Crafted with the utmost care, Framboise underwent natural fermentation, aging in French oak barrels for five long years. But its journey didn’t end there. The beer was then racked onto ripe raspberries in a stainless steel tank, where it continued to ferment and age for another two years prior to bottling. The result? A wonderfully tart, unfiltered brew that’s best savoured like a well-aged wine.

Sealed with Silver, Tasting like Gold

Here’s a little insider scoop that adds a touch of humor to our win. When we sealed our bottles, we chose silver. Now, after taking home the gold, the team can’t help but laugh at the thought: “Why didn’t we seal them with gold?” Well, it seems like Framboise was destined for a golden future, even if we didn’t see it coming!
